Pupil Development Grant (PDG) 2024–2025

Purpose of the Grant

The Pupil Development Grant is utilised to support the academic, personal, and emotional development of pupils through a focus on the following key areas:

• Literacy
• Wellbeing
• Attendance

The funding allocated to the school enables the employment of specialist staff within these areas, ensuring that support is effectively targeted towards those pupils in greatest need.

The PDG provides resources for the school to fund targeted groups aimed at improving pupils’ reading and comprehension skills in both Welsh and English. In addition, the grant allows the school to offer individual support for vulnerable pupils to enhance their emotional, social, and physical wellbeing, which in turn contributes to improved attendance across the school.

Total Funding: £41,400
